There is no deception here for the sauvy vitamin user.
Read the label people. Every vitamin company I’ve been a consumer of for the past 40 years has made “entire dosage” statements on the front of the label. Many, many companies put their full dosage info into anywhere from 2 to 6 pills per day; this is not unusual — I don’t feel this is a deception. I’ve been happily taking Schiff calcium for two years now since I’ve had to find calcium that doesn’t trigger my new shellfish allergies. Thank you Schiff.

These gel caps are huge, but I can swallow them without problem. I like that I only have to take 2 of these a day verses several like other products. I just ordered 3 more bottles.

I take calcium supplements every day and have tried several brands. I have found this to be a good product that has helped me restore calcium back to the necessary levels for good health. I was found to be defficient in calcium a few years ago but am now where I should be in my diet.

I take calcium supplements daily. I have to. My body doesn’t digest dairy products all that well, and I have to get my calcium from some place, so Schiff has been my answer to that problem for some time now. These calcium tablets are some of the best out there, and up until last month I would have told you there was no reason to be concerned with taking them whatsoever.
First off, the good news. The soft gels are free of artificial flavors, colors, and shellfish. They have the added bonus of vitamin D, something essential to your body’s ability to absorb calcium. As another reviewer previously mentioned, we can only absorb a certain amount of calcium in each sitting, so I usually spread two tablets across my morning and evening meals. I have had no problems with these tablets whatsoever.
Now the bad news. Recent research has concluded that titanium dioxide may be carcinogenic. Titanium Dioxide is a substance used primarily as a whitener in numerous products, and that includes everything from skin lotion to paint to vitamins. Seriously, it’s everywhere, and this discovery should be disconcerting to a vast number of people.
Is it enough to make me stop using the product? Only in lieu of a supplement free of such concerns. Hopefully Schiff will take such research to heart (they seem to be that sort of company) and ensure that future supplements are free of such potentially harmful substances.

This product helped my (former) boss regain his health.
Before Schiff Calcium Supplements, my (former) boss ‘Joseph’ (This is not his real name, but to protect his identity and privacy, let’s call him ‘Joseph’) was working seven days a week, twenty-eight hours a day to keep our retail business running. Phone calls from his wife, child, and family were only countered with his inevitable response— “James, Tell my wife and daughter I love them”. Two sales associates and I once saw this man, ‘Joseph’, my (former) boss, take a five-minute break and immediately called every Rabbi in King County, Washington to come and witness a miracle. What we didn’t know was what actual miracle was about to happen three days later.
Three days later, while helping a group school-children raise money for the blind, ‘Joseph’ (This is not his real name, but to protect his identity and privacy, let’s call him ‘Joseph’) carried two crippled South American nuns all the way from their Dodge MiniVan to the BECU ATM Machine in the back parking lot. ‘Joseph’ later collapsed but regained balance and stumbled to the Rite-Aid across the street. The kind, generous clerk recommended him Schiff Calcium Supplements leading to the purchase. After that day, every time he carried crippled nuns around our business he had no back pain.
‘Joseph’ still works seven days every week, twenty-eight hours every day, at a DIFFERENT RETAIL BUSINESS, but if he ever got a minute of time to spend with family he’d probably play Wii Sports or Wi Fit. Something, you know, that you do on Wii where you move and stuff.
It’s hard to imagine a lifestyle where just sitting down for two minutes is therapeutic. ‘Joseph’ lives that lifestyle. And people with that lifestyle need Schiff Calcium Supplements.
I also tried the product and I’m feelin’ fine! “MMMMmmmm… Calcium” (*does that Homer Simpsons drool thing*). My only wish is that they release some sort of Schiff Calcium w/ Anti-Depressants to help me deal with the guilt I feel knowing that ‘Joseph’ is working his butt off(not the bones in his butt though thanks to Schiff Calcium Supplements) while I’m at home watching Spongebob Squarepants and eating Honey Roasted Cashews.
