Winner of Victoria’s Small Training Provider of the Year Also Celebrates 25th Anniversary, Australian College of Fitness & Bodywork

Mitcham, Victoria (PRWEB) June 26, 2014

It’s a double celebration for The Australian College of Fitness & Bodywork (ACFB) as they announce their 25 year anniversary (being in operation since 1989) and the award they won as the Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year 2013. Their win was presented by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

ACFB is a registered training organisation in Mitcham and a multi-award winning college delivering courses on fitness, massage therapy practice, remedial massage, and myotherapy. Founded in 1989 as a not-for-profit organisation, it is now a state-of-the-art training facility employing 14 trainers and contractors with a genuine desire to help students.

Andrew Maas, Business Manager at ACFB states, “It is a real honour to win the Victorian Training Awards. We’ve worked very hard to provide the best possible training since 1989, and because of the effort we put in, we have risen to the top of the education industry. These awards go to show that you don’t have to be the biggest or the loudest training institute to be one of the best – it all comes down to the hard work, skill and passion of the individuals involved. ACFB have been very fortunate to have a fantastic team and we would not be able to offer the quality of training that we do, without the great trainers and staff we have.”

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development awarded ACFB with the Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year 2013. At the same time ACFB received two finalist nominations in Melbourne South East Business Awards 2013: Business Growth and Development, and the Small Business Award.

Mr. Maas emphasises, “With our long and accredited history & award winning training as a fitness college in Melbourne, along with our passionate approach to training, ACFB offers its students exciting, fun and empowering courses that prepare them for the workforce and enable them to become future leaders in these two dynamic industries; fitness and massage.”

ACFB provides alternative options to students for on-campus study, on-campus flexi study, and distance learning study on both fitness and massage. And Mr. Maas adds, “Our trainers always go the extra mile with a hands-on approach, small class sizes, and flexible delivery options, allowing our training to not only teach the skills of massage and fitness, but also helps students to better cater to clients’ needs and become industry-leading therapists and trainers.”

Urban Produce Opens First Patented Vertical Growing Unit in Irvine, CA

Growing Unit

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) July 16, 2014

The Urban Produce High Density Vertical Growing System has been developed as a sustainable alternative to traditional agriculture, utilizing advanced hydroponic technologies in a controlled environment. The technology used is patented, taking the best of hydroponics and increasing the yield by stacking produce vertically, in a closed, automated environment.

“Our patented growing technology allows us to grow the equivalent of 16 acres of produce on just a 1/8 acre footprint, all while reducing water usage by 90% as compared to traditional row farming. Imagine the tremendous short-term benefit to locally grown, organic produce using less water while reducing our carbon footprint and bringing jobs to local communities. Now, imagine that 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year…the long-term benefits are absolutely incredible. We are very excited with the opportunities that lay ahead of Urban Produce as we look to expand into urban cities all over the U.S., and Canada,” said Ed Horton President & CEO.

About Urban Produce
