Granola’s Natural Foods to Carry Salt-Free Spices from The Herb Lady

Mesa, AZ (PRWEB) April 20, 2006

Salt and additive-free spices are nothing new. What is new and special about The Herb Lady’s line is their fresh and appetizing appeal. Blended in small batches to ensure their freshness, these dried herbs and spices bring incredible flavor to all foods. And they only contain herbs and spices. No flowing agents, starches, fillers, sugars or chemicals are used in the blends. And all are salt- free.

“Folks can always add salt,” explains Catherine, The Herb Lady, “but you can’t remove it.” “I let customers know they can take our blends and make their own seasoned salt, if they care to. The point is they control the ingredients and the amount of salt in their food.”

The focus is flavor. “If you had to cook chicken or tofu every night,” asks The Herb Lady. “Could you make it a ‘wow, this is great,’ instead of ‘not ______ again!” Dried spices with fresh and appealing combinations put the ‘wow’ into cooking. The blends from Herbs 2 U make creating tasty meals easy.

These spices arose out of The Herb Lady’s use of her own fresh garden herbs and spices. Since many cooks do not have access to fresh herbs, the idea of creating a line of dried spices using recipes developed by The Herb Lady, was born.

The first three blends will be introduced April 29, 2006, at the Granola’s store located at 5055 West Ray Road, Chandler, Arizona 85226, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For information call: 480/940- 1571.

Catherine, The Herb Lady teaches and writes on growing and cooking with herbs, flowers and other edibles in the Valley of the Sun. Class and event schedule is available at the website www.herbs2u.net, click on “learn” for details.

The Herb Lady, author of the book “Edible Landscaping in the Desert Southwest: Wheelbarrow to Plate,” is also a regular guest on Ed Phillip’s streaming radio www.azalmanac.com, and her column appears monthly in the online edition of the East Valley Tribune.

Herbs 2 U was founded to educate and inform folks on gardening with herbs, edible flowers and other edible plants, and then bringing those useful and flavorful plants into the kitchen and creating mouth-watering meals.

Granola’s Natural Market is a place that provides a fun and educational experience for customers seeking a healthier lifestyle and want to feel better through nutrition. At Granola’s they really care about what you put in your body. They work hard to provide their customers with a healthy mix of solid nutrition, important information, and great people. “Granola’s – Your Neighborhood Health Nuts,” is their slogan.

In addition to The Herb Lady’s spices, Granola’s offers a fresh juice bar, fresh produce, including baby vegetables from Maya’s at The Farm at South Mountain, other grocery foods, books, and beauty and health aids.
