Goddess Garden Partners With EWG and Other Mineral Sunscreen Brands to Promote Sun Safety
Goddess Garden Partners With EWG and Other Mineral Sunscreen Brands to Promote Sun Safety
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) May 12, 2014
Goddess Garden is one of seventeen sunscreen brands that have banded together to support the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and its new Sun Safety Campaign: Practice Smart Sunâ˘. The goal of the campaign is to raise public awareness about the dangers of excessive sun exposure and provide practical guidelines for sun safe behavior.
âEWG is proud to be working side by side with companies at the front lines of a revolution in the sunscreen industry, making safer, healthier sun protection products, and who share our concern about the largely avoidable crisis of skin cancer,â says Ken Cook, EWGâs President. âThis year, and in the years to come, our campaign aims for nothing less than a fundamental change in Americansâ attitudes and habits, so that the practice of âsmart sunâ becomes as commonplace as buckling a seatbelt.â
Practice Smart Sun⢠kicks off May 11 with the launch of the website ewg.org/sunsafety, which provides information on how to live a healthy, sun-safe lifestyle. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, so starting this Sunday, for one week, each participating sunscreen brand will promote the campaign on social media with info graphics and #SunSafety.
Skin cancer is the most common form of all cancers in the U.S., and rates of new melanoma cases have tripled over the last 35 years. Every hour someone dies from melanoma, yet many Americans behave as if theyâre immune. Much of the damage can occur as early as childhood; a single case of blistering sunburn in childhood or adolescence doubles the risk of melanoma.
âAs a mineral sunscreen company, we want people to enjoy the sun as safely as possible. Not only do we want to promote increased sunscreen usage, but we want people to become more aware of what they are putting on their skin,” remarked Nova Covington, founder and CEO of Goddess Garden. “We are excited to partner with the EWG on this initiative, and we very much look forward to promoting ‘sun safety’ and the advantages of mineral sunscreens.”
The Sun Safety Coalition is composed of nearly 20 like-minded companies, and includes:
All Terrain
Aubrey Organics
Ava Anderson Non Toxic

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 17, 2014
Goliath Technologies, the leading provider of Proactive IT Operations solutions to monitor, analyze, report, and remediate performance issues in todayâs complex virtual server, virtual desktop, and hybrid cloud infrastructures, announced today the availability of MonitorITÂŽ 11.2.
MonitorITÂŽ from Goliath Technologies delivers proactive monitoring enhancements that take the guesswork out of what elements and aspects need to be monitored to deliver a great end user experience. These out of the box enhancements allow administrators to immediately use advanced and sophisticated monitoring tools without having to configure it themselves. Common fault conditions, failure points, and errors are identified and preconfigured into the product with corresponding alerts, reports, and dashboards for analysis and troubleshooting.
âOur technology is purpose-built for virtual desktop environments,â said Raja Jadeja, Vice President of Technical Operations at Goliath Technologies. âMonitorITÂŽ 11.2 now offers unparalleled configuration speeds to enable organizations to monitor the leading indicators of performance degradation of many disparate elements in the virtual desktop environment so administrators are able to remediate issues before they impact end users. Our goal is to eliminate âend user alertsâ and help deliver the best virtual application and desktop experiences possible to users.â
In this latest release of MonitorITÂŽ, there are several new and enhanced features, included in the base product and enabled right out of the box.
â˘New reports allow administrators to identify peak usages times, spot group policy and registry corruption, failures, and security issues, and target profile errors.
â˘New and updated dashboards deliver real time snapshots of XenApp Server Bottlenecks and VMware Monitoring into Host, VM, and Datastore performance.
â˘New charts provide an easy way to track the number of users accessing resources in the environment, trend the number of concurrent sessions and understand the ratio of sessions to users.
